SHRI SHYAM SUNDERJI GOENKA is an industrialist, philanthropist, educationist and social scientist. He is the founder Chairman of Goenka Institute of Education and Research (GIER) running many an Institution of knowledge and learning. Shrilal Goenka Charitable Trust and Goenka Education Trusts are family owned trusts set up by Shri Goenkaji in the memory of his parents.
